I arrived at Rachel and Mark’s flat on an exceptionally warm, summer like day to photograph Rachel’s morning preparations.

I loved Rachel’s Vivienne Westwood Gold Label Dresses with multicolored floral print.  It really suited the London theme of the wedding. Rachel accessorized excellently with burgundy velvet heels, a decadent gold cuff and pearl necklace that really set off the neckline of her dress.

After a few shots with the father of the Bride we headed in a cab to Islington Town Hall where I met Simon who had been photographing the guests arriving for the ceremony.

The ceremony had a lovely relaxed feel with a playlist chosen by the couple and some readings from friends.

After the excitement of signing the register the couple were congratulated by friends and family, then headed outside to the the steps for a showering of confetti. A London route master whisked us off on a journey down to Clerkenwell. At the request of the couple, in a beautiful ancient square in Clerkenwell, Simon and I arranged some group shots before heading to photograph the speeches and meal at the Modern Pantry.

The Modern Pantry is set in a fabulous Georgian building in the heart of Clerkenwell. The wedding party was seated in the private dining area upstairs overlooking St John’s Square. The venue really did have a charming ambience, perfectly chosen to suit Rachel and Mark’s dining party.

After the meal, at sunset, we made our way down to the Southbank for an intimate photo moment with the couple. Amidst the hustle and bustle of the riverside we strolled down the beautiful Thames and shot photographs in a less formal manner.

The evening party commenced on the 6^th floor of the Royal Festival Hall. The views of the London Eye at dusk were spectacular.

Rachel and Marks wedding suited them completely.  A clever mixture of contemporary and traditional made for a tasteful fun day. What made the day so special was that it moved along so effortlessly and embraced the best parts of London, a London the couple are so in love with.

The wedding ceremony was low-key and was held at Marylebone Town Hall, which was recently the venue of choice for Paul McCartney for his wedding to Nancy Shevelle.

Alma and Paulo arrived together, and Paulo acted as the perfect gentleman as he offered his wife-to-be a helping hand as they got out of their traditional black London taxi.

Alma wore a striking pillarbox red overcoat on top of her simple vintage inspired ivory lace dress. She made the bouquet herself.  She looked happy and relaxed as they climbed the steps in front of close family and friends, who were beaming with delight to see the couple together for the first time in the day.

The service was short and informal as the couple exchanged simple gold bands and signing the register together. After the ceremony the couple and guests took to the steps outside the Town Hall and as we had some unseasonably sunny November weather, I took group photos of the wedding party.

After the ceremony, we walked over to the Orray on Marylebone High St with the wedding party. I was snapping as we walked and managed to get some lovely moments of the couple with the camera as they relaxed.

The reception was held at the Orrery restaurant and the wedding party were treated to an amazing six course meal. The couple then retired to the stunning St Pancras hotel before finishing off the celebrations the next day with a party for friends at the North London Tavern.

The next morning both Simon and I had an early start. Simon went off to photograph the groom’s party getting ready, while I met up with the girls. I loved Amy’s bright pink Vivienne Westwood scented jelly shoes, they gave her outfit a quirky and fun twist. The bridesmaids wore pretty floral dresses, which had a splash of bright pink in them. Much time was spent coordinating the right pink nail polish, and lipstick. Meanwhile the boys had a much more relaxed morning messing around in bathrobes and leisurely getting ready!

I followed the bridal party on the short walk to the church through the beautifully stoned market town snapping as I walked. I half expected some Hogwarts Wizardary as the Cotswolds was the location for a lot of filming of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and every corner looked oddly familiar.

Amy made her entrance into the grand church and the ceremony commenced. The guest sang a wonderful mix of American and English hymns. The newly-wed couple made a speedy get away in a cabriolet sports car to the reception at Mickelton Hills Farm.

The barn at the venue was a blend of rustic English charm with some American accents, with American flags beside homemade bunting and pom-poms. What I loved about the venue was how colourful it was and it really reflected the couple’s happy and easy-going day. I also truly loved the wedding cake, which really captured the look of British summertime, and was homemade and decorated in beautiful summer berries.

While the party was getting into full swing, we set up the photo booth. After the hog roast and buffet (the buffet had been prepared by the guests), the band played. They were called Izzy and the Stooges and tore the barn down with some superb cover versions.

Amy and Tony’s wedding was a gem of a wedding not only to photograph but also to go to. It was fun and beautiful and cleverly combined both the American and English influences. What also made it special was how the friends and family helped in all aspects of the day, making it affordable as well as a celebration that was really unique to them. It the perfect way to enjoy the last of the summer.

We recently put together a photo booth for Francesca’s outdoor wedding. She wanted to keep in the style of her rustic wedding, so we decorated simply with multicoloured bunting and crepe paper hearts. Francesca decided on blackboard speech bubbles, which her guests used to leave messages in the photos.

Do you have all your own equipment?

We have all our own professional kit which comprises of the most up to date camera, camera lenses and lighting equipment on the market.

Do you shoot group family photo’s?

We do! We are happy to shoot any group shots you may want. You can provide us with a list of guests you’d like to involve and we’ll make sure there’s time set aside to get the shots you want.

Can you tell me how far you travel to shoot weddings?

We really enjoying seeing parts of the country we’d otherwise not see and are happy to travel long distances. Our furthest wedding – Fort William, Scotland and our closest wedding – on our road!

Is there a set package?

We believe every wedding is different and we like to tailor each wedding to each individuals needs and budgets, so no. A popular choice would include photographs of the Bride and Groom preparations in the morning, the ceremony, the reception and a little bit of dancing in the evening. Extra’s could include an engagement shoot or a photo booth. Some opt for the ceremony and reception only.

Do work always work a pair or could I hire you on an individual basis?

We are happy to work solo, which can be more affordable or suit a smaller wedding.

A pre wedding consultation to discus all your needs in finer detail.

A big selection of reportage/record-of-the-day style images, plus traditional group shots if required.

Editing and post production on the shots, including colour balancing, cosmetic retouching and cropping.

A DVD in a presentation case containing high res images, which are yours to email to friends, print or upload and share to Facebook etc.

All the images from the day uploaded to an online gallery where prints can be ordered directly at very reasonable prices.
