On Saturday I was lucky enough to shoot Georgia and Dave’s beautiful wedding in Islington, and I was so excited to get there, because I don’t think anyone could have wished for better weather. It was a beautiful, and exceptionally warm, spring day, which not only made the day extra special but also meant we were able to get some truly lovely shots.
Georgia and Dave had a wonderful celebration in the sunshine, starting off at the leafy Islington Town Hall, which meant we were also able to make the most of the beautiful pink Cherry Blossom. It was all perfectly complemented by the spring flowers they chose for the bouquet and soft colours of the bridesmaid dresses.
After the wedding the couple hired a vintage routemaster bus to ferry guests from Islington to the relaxed Distillers Pub and Restaurant in Farringdon. Guests were served champagne on arrive in the picturesque square that was framed with stunning spring blossoms. The reception was simple and elegant, but was filled with personal touches from the couple, including using mismatched jam jars as vases for the tables.
All the food was sourced from the famous Smithfield meat market across the road and after the meal, the party continued on til late and it was clear a lot of fun was had.
I was so happy for Georgina and Dave, it really turned out to be a magical day and I’m really pleased the shots captured the beautiful wedding and special venues. View the full set of pictures here
